Megan Toothman

Megan works at UNCW in the Office of Community Engagement in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) where her work focuses on health equity and supporting regional organizations who work to address the social determinants of health. Prior to working in CHHS at UNCW, she worked in drop-out prevention at Communities in Schools of the Cape Fear, and before that as a middle school Language Arts teacher. Her work in all these areas over the last 20 years has shown her the importance of community connections and the need for access to healthy foods.
